Kathie Lee Gifford embraces single life years after Frank Gifford’s death
The former 'Today' host says she is happy being single but remains open to life's unexpected possibilities
Kathie Lee Gifford has revealed she has no plans to marry again, saying her late husband, Frank Gifford, will always remain the love of her life.
The former Today co-host shared that she is content with being single more than a decade after the death of the NFL legend, explaining that she is not actively looking for another relationship.
“I am not dating anybody right now, and I don't want to date,” Gifford said, according to Radar Online.
The television personality added that she does not expect to walk down the aisle again.
“I’m not looking, and I don’t think I’ll ever get married again,” she said. “I had an opportunity for that to maybe happen, and it didn’t work out. Frank will always be the love of my life.”
Although Gifford believes another marriage is unlikely, she said she remains open to whatever the future may hold.
“If God wants to do something miraculous, like give me another great love, then I’m open to it,” she said. “And so I leave room for the miraculous to happen.”
Gifford was married to Frank Gifford until his death in 2015.
The couple shared nearly three decades of marriage before the sports icon died at the age of 84.
Since leaving Today in 2019, Gifford has settled in Nashville, Tennessee, where she has focused on spending time with her family and embracing her role as a grandmother to five grandchildren.
The broadcaster said her outlook on life has shifted in recent years, with gratitude and living in the present becoming her biggest priorities.
“I need to find joy in the moment I’m in right now, because none of us know when is our last breath,” she said.
