Sharon Stone shares wisdom ahead of 66th birthday: 'aging is a great thing'
Sharon Stone called people who feel embarrassed of aging as 'stupid and ungrateful'
Sharon Stone opened up about her perspective on aging as she is gearing up to celebrate her 66th birthday.
In a recent interview with The Times, the Basic Instinct actress clapped her hands in excitement, expressing joy about turning another year older in March.
"Yay. Two exact months until my birthday and I’ll be even older. Sixty-six," she said.
Her upbeat outlook on aging extended to a dismissal of those embarrassed about growing older, as she deemed such sentiments 'stupid and ungrateful.'
She said, "I think that people who are embarrassed about being older are just stupid and ungrateful."

Stone emphasized the importance of getting comfortable in oneself and the benefits of aging, acknowledging the losses suffered by their generation.
The Casino actress, who attended the Women's Cancer Research Fund's An Unforgettable Evening Benefit Gala in 2023, reflected on her 40s, describing the period as both beautiful and challenging.
Facing obstacles like a massive brain injury, custody battles, and societal biases against women over 40 in Hollywood, Stone found something wonderful in the midst of those challenges.
Stone's wisdom on aging aligns with her previous discussions with AARP The Magazine and Allure, where she embraced the positive aspects of growing older.
She said, "I frankly think aging is a great thing, and we’re lucky when we get to do it because, particularly in our generation, we’ve lost so many people to so many different things."
