Prince William and the royal family gathered for the funeral of Thomas Kingston, husband of Lady Gabriella, who tragically passed away at the age of 45.

As per PEOPLE report, the private service, attended by approximately 140 close friends and family, took place at the Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace, London.

Notably, King Charles and Queen Camilla were absent due to prior engagements and ongoing health issues.

Thomas Kingston's unexpected death on February 25 sent shockwaves through the royal community, with Buckingham Palace announcing the sad news on February 27.

The outlet also shared that some reports revealed his death to be an apparent suicide, leaving loved ones in mourning.

As the husband of Lady Gabriella, Kingston was an integral part of the royal family, often seen at various events alongside his wife.

As per PEOPLE reports, the spokesperson for King and Queen shared a message from them to Lady Gabriella and family, stating, “the King and The Queen have been informed of Thomas’s death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family. In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family.”
