Zendaya shared an exciting anecdote about tennis icon Serena Williams' reaction to her new film, Challengers.

The Euphoria star, who played the role of tennis player-turned-coach in her latest film, said during her discussion with ET, “'She was like, ‘I know there definitely weren’t real [tennis] balls.’”

Zendaya went on to say, “She knows. She’s the best of the best.”

The Dune starlet also shared that the sports legend, 42, also offered her credit for her abilities on the court.

“She did say that it was great considering that I had never, never touched a tennis ball before,” Zendaya stated.

The Emmy award winner admitted that she was "nervous" about Venus Williams, Serena's elder sister who is also a powerful figure in tennis, seeing the movie.

She added, “I heard that she came [to the premiere] and I was like, ‘No way, this is the coolest thing!’”

Zendaya further said, “So I’m very nervous ’cause I know Serena has seen the movie but I’m very nervous about [Venus] seeing my tennis.”

Challengers, which is set to release on April 26, was directed by Luca Guadagnino, showcased Zendaya as a fallen tennis star who gives up her career after suffering a major injury and becomes a coach instead.
