Ryan Reynolds gears up for ‘Deadpool’,’X-Men’ crossover
Super hero star Ryan Reynolds likely to develop project for the Marvel crossover

Ryan Reynolds has starred in the titular Deadpool movies since 2016, however, his first appearance as the iconic comic book character was in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The longtime Marvel star played soldier, Wade Wilson who goes on to become Deadpool in the prequel movie starring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
Therefore, he is currently developing a project that is set to combine the universe of his own Deadpool series with that of the X-Men films.
The 48-year-old actor is reportedly “exploring ideas” for a collaboration between his super hero character and the gang led by and named after Professor X in a potential crossover.
The Hollywood Reporter shared that the Canadian performer has made “writing a priority” and will likely helm the script for the crossover project himself, besides also penning a comedy called Boy Band for Paramount Studios.
Deadpool would reportedly take on a more supporting role in the movie while three or four members of the X-Men are set to feature.
Sharing his apparent inclination for writing, Reynolds previously told THR, “I’m more passionate about storytelling than I am about acting.”
Explaining his preference, he continued, “If I win, great. If I lose, I get to also feel like I was the architect of my own demise.”
Ryan Reynolds last appeared as Deadpool in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine, also alongside Hugh Jackman, who reprised his role for the movie after previously announcing retirement from it.
