‘Euphoria’ season three picks up heat with addition of an Oscar winner
Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is set to score ‘Euphoria’ season three
Euphoria’s hotly anticipated third season has now added the legendary composer Hans Zimmer into its fold as the anticipation continues to pack heat.
While the show’s usual composer Labrinth is set to return, Zimmer will also join the musician in providing the musical score for the upcoming season.
The news was announced via the hit HBO drama’s official Instagram page, which included statements from both of the musicians as well as series creator and director Sam Levinson.
Caption for the post simply read, “Hans Zimmer and Labrinth join #Euphoria Season 3.”
“It’s an honor to join this incredible team of storytellers led by the visionary Sam Levinson. Together, they have crafted such a bold and moving series that has meant so much to audiences,” the composer behind hits like Dune, The Lion King, and many more, reported in his statement.
While he also praised the composer behind the show’s previous two seasons.
“Labrinth’s music has shaped the show’s identity and I’m looking forward to contributing to the ongoing story and helping shape this new season through music,” the statement concluded.
Additionally, Labrinth’s statement revealed, “Another chapter in the Euphoria universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season. Love x.”
Levinson on the other hand cited two of Zimmer’s well known works, 2014’s Interstellar and 1993’s True Romance, as inspiration behind his writing for season three.
“It’s a true honour to be working alongside Hans. I wrote this season to the score of ‘Interstallar’ and ‘True Romance’. So he’s been ingrained in the creative DNA since the beginning,” the writer and director acknowledged.
Meanwhile, Euphoria began filming in February 2025 and the production is still underway.
Zendaya and the usual cast, including Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Colman Domingo, Alexa Demie, among others, are set to return for the show’s third season which is planned to be released at some point in 2026.
