‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ debuts first look in major trailer release
James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ comes out in December 2025

Third entry in James Cameron’s celebrated franchise, Avatar: Fire and Ash has finally dropped its debut trailer.
Scheduled to release three years after its predecessor, Avatar: The Way of Water, the latest trailer introduced a new tribe from the fictional planet of Pandora.
While the aquatic clan Metkayina was seen in the second Avatar film, a new one called the Ash People will feature in the upcoming threequel.
Alongside the returning leads, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña, other stars reprising their roles from the franchise include Kate Winslet and Sigourney Weaver, among others.
While Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh is the latest addition to the epic sci-fi series.
Meanwhile, James Cameron had previously revealed that both of the second and upcoming third parts of Avatar were originally conceived as a singular film, though he had to split the story when it eventually became too lengthy.
He had also teased during the teaser launch at 2024 D23 Expo that the new clan in the movie is supposed to be a more antagonistic group of people, adding, “There are new characters, one especially I think you’re gonna love, or love to hate.”
Avatar: Fire and Ash will be released into cinemas on December 19, 2025.
