Coldplay pays special tribute to Shakira during Miami gig

Coldplay recently gave a heartwarming shout-out to Shakira during their electrifying performance in Miami.

The 48-year-old songstress took to her Instagram handle on Monday, July 28, to express gratitude to the renowned band for making her and her children feel special.

It is pertinent to mention that Shakira attended the concert in Miami at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Sunday, July 27, alongside her two boys, Milan, 12, and Sasha, 10.

"Thanks for having me and my boys be a part of such a special moment! Thanks for your kind words too @coldplay," the Waka Waka hitmaker penned in the caption, accompanied by a red heart emoji.

Elsewhere in the thrilling show, Coldplay's front-man, Chris Martin, performed Shakira's  smash hit Hips Don't Lie, which she released in 2005.

The Whenever, Wherever musician wrote a heartfelt note after Martin's sweet tribute, writing, "Hips Don’t Yellow! Never thought I’d hear that!"

"@coldplay thanks for the shout-out, that’s one of my favourite songs of yours. Thank you for having us and for sharing your talent, humanity, and kindness, and for sending a message of tolerance and love into the world. We all need it!" Shakira penned.

It is worth noting that, alongside Shakira’s appearance, Lionel Messi also attended Coldplay's Miami concert with his wife.
