For some celebrities love doesn’t always need commitment. While many couples dream of walking down the aisle, some believe that marriage isn’t what defines their bond.

Here are some of the Hollywood stars who have proved that loyalty doesn’t need rings or wedding vows:

Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton first met in 2019 and seemingly confirmed their romance when they made their red carpet debut at the Tony Awards in September 2021.

The duo then confirmed their engagement in 2022 and welcomed their first child in 2022.

Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse:

Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse are together since 2018. The two got engaged in 2023 and welcomed their first child in March 2024.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Waterhouse opened up about her relationship,

"I'm shocked that I'm so happy with someone for nearly five years.”

She further shared that they never goes more than two months without seeing each other, "I had two days off the other day, and it was like, no question I'm going back to see him."

Courteney Cox met Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid in 2013, and though they got engaged the following year, the couple called it off in 2015, however, destiny had other plans.

They rekindled their romance the very next year, but never returned to engagement status.

Cox told PEOPLE in 2018 that she doesn’t need a wedding band to feel secure, “I consider myself married in my heart.”

Maya Rudolph and Paul Thomas Anderson:

Though they’ve been together for decades and share four children, Maya Rudolph and director Paul Thomas Anderson never officially tied the knot. Instead, Rudolph affectionately calls him her husband.

“It felt ‘ooky’ to call him my boyfriend decades in,” she told The New York Times in 2018, adding, “It means he’s the father of my child, and I live with him, and we are a couple, and we are not going anywhere.”

Leslie Bibb and Sam Rockwell:

Leslie Bibb and Sam Rockwell have been together since 2007, and though fans often wonder why they haven’t tied the knot, the actress recently revealed her perspective. “I love Sam Rockwell … I do not want to get married,” she said on Today With Jenna & Friends in June 2025. “I feel like we are married.”

She recalled how Rockwell initially teased her about it, “He would annoy the crap out of me because he was like, ‘Really? You don’t want to get married?’ … But he didn’t want it either.” For Bibb, the secret is simple, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
