Prince Harry, Meghan Markle unite for glittering gala following royal reunion: Explore details

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out for a charity gala in Santa Barbara on September 20.

This Saturday’s appearance at the annual celebration was the Sussex couple’s third year in a row and the first since Harry reunited with his father, King Charles, earlier this month.

One805LIVE! concert

The event known as One805LIVE! concert is held annually at Hollywood star Kevin Costner’s beachfront estate in California, where Harry and Meghan have also resided since 2020.

Raising funds for the essential needs of the County’s first responders, the Duke of Sussex was on hand to honour the Santa Barbara County Fire Chief Mark Hartwig with an award.

While he was briefly joined onstage by the Duchess, where the two shared a hug, before she took her place in the audience and observed the rest of the festivities.

The looks

The pair clearly coordinated their looks for the event, with Harry opting for a sleek midnight blue suit ensemble, sans tie.

While Meghan matched his choice in a simple and sophisticated knee length dress in the same shade, cinched by a bow in the front, and brown heels.

The royal affair

Prior to the couple’s appearance at the benefit, all eyes were on Prince Harry during his four-day trip to the UK earlier this month, where he finally reunited with his father.

While his travel itinerary was mostly filled with humanitarian engagements, the Duke made time for the King as he made his way to Clarence House.

Spending a little less than an hour with Charles, Harry later told the press gathered at a special reception for his Invictus Foundation that “he’s great”, when quizzed about his father’s health.

Regarding the long delayed reunion, Queen Elizabeth’s former spokeswoman Ailsa Anderson told PEOPLE, “It’s a massive step in the right direction. It’s a building of trust.”

While Meghan Markle’s thoughts about the latest developments remain under wraps, she celebrated her husband’s return in a since-expired Instagram story on September 14.
