Guilty or not guilty? Will Diddy finally be held accountable?
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will be sentenced on October 3, 2025

It seems like yesterday when court ruled its judgement in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ racketeering and sex trafficking trial, but it's actually been a few months since the mixed verdict.
The hip-hop mogul was arrested on sex trafficking charges in September 2024 and has since been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn in New York City.
He was charged with five counts; one count of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
His infamous trial featuring an extensive testimony, including from his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, began this year in May 2025; however, during the 10-week trial, the disgraced music mogul was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but not held accountable on major charges; racketeering conspiracy or sex trafficking.
Now, Combs is all set to face sentencing related to his other counts, which is scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2025, by judge Arun Subramanian.
Seeing the rapper’s historic acquittal in major charges that reportedly literally had “chilling” effects on his abuse victims, the concern is will Diddy be finally held accountable?
Let’s look at the possible sentence; the Bad Boy founder might face up to 10 years in prison for the charges he's been convicted of.
Additionally, he still faces dozens of civil lawsuits, which could further affect his reputation and finances
But as for being held accountable, Diddy's guilty verdicts may impact his legacy and reputation.
According to the prosecution, the rapper used his "status and power" to "violently" force ex-girlfriends into unwanted sexual acts and victimised employees through threats and assault.
For prosecutors, his convictions carry a maximum prison sentence of 20 years, with prosecutors seeking at least 51 months aka 4.25 years.
In the recent hearing, prosecutors demanded that they want Diddy to serve over 11 years behind bars and pay "a hefty fine" in the six-digit range for the two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, he was found guilty of this summer.
What could possibly happen this Friday? A mistrial due to a hung jury is possible, which could lead to a retrial.
Moreover, beyond the criminal case, he could face additional consequences, including asset forfeiture of property used for illegal activities, or financial penalties and restitution to victims.
Last but not the least, Diddy could also face potential damage to his reputation and career, impacting endorsements, venue bookings, and his ability to sign new artists.
In the end, given the guilty verdicts, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ future remains uncertain with the judge yet to decide if he should get a new trial or be acquitted.
