The hearing which lasted nearly a day as part of the latest and most final development in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ criminal trial in New York, Judge Arun Subramaniam saw it fit to sentence the disgraced rapper to a 50 month prison term or just over four years.

During the court’s exhaustive high profile proceedings, several A-list celebrities and public figures were name dropped for various reasons.

While names like Cassie Ventura and Kid Cudi became synonymous with the trial, here’s a look at some of the more uncanny celeb mentions:

Leonardo DiCaprio

Diddy’s former assistant, who testified under the pseudonym “Mia”, named Leonardo DiCaprio in a text exchange between her and her employer at the time.

“That ‘Titanic’ (guy) doesn’t know (anything). He won $10,000, I won $650,000,” read one of Diddy’s texts to Mia.

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt was mentioned when Mia’s testimony recalled an altercation between Diddy and Ventura at the Cannes premiere of the Oscar winning actor’s 2012 film Killing Them Softly.

R. Kelly

Another formerly influential and disgraced music mogul, R. Kelly’s name came up in one of Mia’s texts which read, “I had a nightmare. I was trapped in an elevator with R. Kelly and you came to rescue me.”

Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston

While testifying against Ventura, Diddy’s other ex employee, personal assistant Capricorn Clark told the courtroom that he didn’t think the singer and dancer was very talented and mentioned music legends Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston in comparison.

“Very talented to me is Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Very talented is that level of performer, entertainer. Cassie was more of a studio artist,” he testified.

Michael B. Jordan

The Sinners star Michael B. Jordan was name dropped during Ventura’s testimony, during which she recounted that her ex-boyfriend once suspected she was dating the actor and producer.

Jennifer Lopez

The convicted rapper’s ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez was very briefly mentioned during the trial — once for sharing the same makeup artist as Ventura and another time in Mia’s text exchange with Diddy where she wrote that the On the Floor singer refused to stay with the pair during one night out.

Usher

Finally, Usher’s name was introduced during the trial as part of the crowd who were present during a restaurant meal where Diddy physically assaulted Ventura, according to Danity Kane member Dawn Richard’s testimony.

“She immediately bent over, he told her to leave…No one intervened,” Richard told the jury.
