Could King Charles be following Meghan Markle’s footsteps?
King Charles makes a bold move this holiday season
King Charles has become one of his daughter-in-law Meghan Markle’s unexpected competitors by recently bragging his entrepreneurship skills with the launch of a luxury whisky, just in time for the holiday season.
His Majesty has introduced a single-malt whisky, which is made with barley grown on his Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire, designed for royal fans and collectors.
This new £100 a bottle, Highgrove Evergreen English Single Malt Whisky is available for pre-order ahead of its official release on December 4.
“Highgrove Evergreen English Whisky is the latest collaboration between Highgrove Gardens and Cotswolds Distillery, crafted to honour the tradition of English single malt. This premium whisky is made from Plumage Archer barley grown at the Highgrove Estate and matured in an exclusive pairing of bourbon and STR red wine casks,” the estate announced.
The statement added, “The result is a rich and refined spirit layered with orchard fruits, honeyed malt, and subtle notes of red berries and spice.”
Interestingly, this new product will also feature Charles' artwork.
It will be presented in “a beautifully illustrated gift box” showcasing “Highgrove House, a view from the Wildflower Meadow.”
It is worth noting that King Charles’ product launch follows Meghan Markle's release of a new vintage from her lifestyle wine line earlier this year.
