‘I invented triggers for Glinda’: Ariana Grande on emotional challenges filming ‘Wicked’
The ‘Wicked: For Good’ actress opens up about acting journey in her musical fantasy film
Ariana Grande recently got candid about the emotional challenges she faced while filming Wicked film series.
The actress-singer, who recently starred in the Wicked sequel, Wicked: For Good, had conversation with Adam Sandler on Actors on Actors Variety interview.
During the conversation, the 32-year-old actress said revealed that she created "triggers" for her character in the movie, saying, "I invented triggers for Glinda so that I didn't have to touch on my own, because certain themes in this film are so adjacent to my life."
The Don't Look Up star added, "I had to design her pain so I didn't need to reference my own."
Elsewhere in the conversation, Grande was asked by Sandler, "You wore a stunning dress in the movie. Do I call it a gown?"
To which, the Zoolander 2 actress revealed that the gown she wore in the Wicked sequel left her with "little scratches”.
The actress, however, shrugged it off, by saying, "Anything for the craft. I'm fond of coming home with an unexplained bruise or scratch."
