Timothée Chalamet proved once again that he’s mastered the moves to Soulja Boy’s Crank That.

During his appearance at the CCXP entertainment convention in São Paulo, Brazil, to promote his new film Marty Supreme on Friday, December 5, the 29-year-old actor energised the crowd with a lively performance of the iconic 2007 dance.

As per PEOPLE, video shared on X, shows Chalamet stepping onto the stage in a green and yellow pullover, instantly prompting thunderous cheers as soon as he launched into the dance’s opening steps.

In a second clip, the Little Women star boost up the excitement by removing the pullover to reveal a grey hoodie with “USA” printed on the back, tossing the jacket to a fan.

Moments later, he pulls off the hoodie as well throwing it into the audience and greets the crowd in a white tank top with an enthusiastic “yeah.”

This isn’t the first time Chalamet has shown off his Soulja Boy choreography. In December 2024, he appeared on The Broski Report with Brittany Broski, where he “cranked it” alongside the host, helping her learn the dance’s signature moves.

The American actor’s love of dancing has long been known. Zendaya once shared that the pair had hotel-room dance parties while filming Dune, and he famously danced his way through scenes in 2023’s Wonka.

He even had his own rap persona, Lil Timmy Tim, performing at New York’s LaGuardia High School in 2012.

Recently, Chalamet has been promoting Marty Supreme, a Josh Safdie film in which he plays Marty Mauser, a ping-pong prodigy chasing a dream “no one respects.” Inspired by real-life table-tennis pioneer Marty Reisman.

For the unversed, Timothée Chalmet’s Marty Supreme film is set to hit the theaters on December 25, 2025.
