Timothee Chalamet gave his all-time best performance in his latest sports drama, Marty Supreme.

The Dune star refused to use a stunt double for a physical punishment scene in the movie, according to his co-star Kevin O’Leary.

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview, O’Leary said the actor personally performed the paddling sequence featured in the film.

“That’s really Chalamet’s ass — he didn’t want the stunt double,” O’Leary said, recalling that he warned the actor before filming. “He immortalized his ass on film for the rest of time.”

Marty Supreme, now in theaters, stars Chalamet as Marty Mauser, a professional table tennis player determined to compete in the 1952 world championships in Japan.

O’Leary later described the moment as “pretty crazy,” adding that Chalamet’s commitment to the role left a lasting impression.
