Madonna prepares to launch new musical era with Friday release
  • Madonna will release new music this Friday, ending a seven-year studio album hiatus.
  • The singer reunited with producer Stuart Price to create her fifteenth studio album.
  • The project is a personal reflection on her recent health struggles and family loss.

Madonna is poised to initiate a significant new chapter in her storied career, with fresh music scheduled for release on 17 April 2026.

According to an industry insider speaking to The Sun on Tuesday, the 67-year-old artist will finally reveal details of her fifteenth studio album, marking the end of a seven-year wait since her 2019 record, Madame X

The project sees her reuniting with producer Stuart Price, the creative force behind her acclaimed 2005 masterpiece, Confessions on a Dance Floor.

"Madonna is ready to enter her new era and, on Friday, fans will finally get a taste of what she has been working on with Stuart Price," the source revealed.

The upcoming record is described as a deeply personal endeavour, influenced by the significant challenges she has faced recently.

In 2023, the singer suffered a life-threatening bout of sepsis, followed by the loss of her brother, Christopher Ciccone, in 2024.

The confidant explained, "The album will be steeped in reflections of what she has endured and how she has overcome everything thrown in her path."

Working with Price has reportedly reinvigorated the star, with the insider noting that he has "injected some of that magic" from their previous collaborations into the new sessions.

The source added, “This album has been such a passion project for Madonna. It’s taken her to a different level in her artistry.”

This latest era follows her record-breaking Celebration Tour and her 2025 return to Warner Records, the label where her global stardom first began four decades ago
