Britney Spears’ sons have been a crucial part of her recovery and getting the necessary help.

A source familiar with the pop star exclusively disclosed to Page Six that Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, have supported their mother significantly after her recent arrest on DUI charges last month.

“Over the past few years, she’s been struggling. Things haven’t been easy, and having the boys back in her life was a perfect opportunity," the insider shared.

We’ve learned that Spears and her sons share a “really good” relationship and that reconnecting this past year has been “amazing” for her.

“Reuniting and spending significant time with their mom has been extremely fulfilling. Britney cherishes both her sons. They mean everything to her,” the source expressed, highlighting that spending time with her children is a “real blessing” and “the greatest happiness” for her right now.

Although Spears has “always stayed in contact” with her children, their residence in Los Angeles has strengthened their bond.

“They are present because they want to be there as her sons, and they wish the best for her. Choosing rehab was entirely Britney's own decision,” the source clarified.

“Now, she is completely in touch with her sons and their relationship is very strong,” the insider continued. “It’s crucial to her to be the best mother, daughter, and person she can possibly be.”

We've been informed that the “Toxic” star is also taking time to “focus on herself” as she is currently single and not engaging in immediate professional commitments.

“Her entire family is behind her. This is her new beginning. This is her refresh,” the insider said. “She’s wanted this for a very long time.”

While the source isn’t entirely sure about Spears’ plans post-rehab, they mentioned that the “world is her oyster.”

“She’s avoiding making plans. It’s crucial Britney doesn’t exit rehab and instantly find herself overwhelmed with work tasks,” the insider mentioned. “The priority is ensuring she has space and time to reconnect with her true self.”

Although Spears’ children have been strong supporters during this journey, it remains unclear if they plan to visit her during rehab.

“She’s recently started and is now in a phase where she spends time with her counselors, figuring out what she needs to feel completely rejuvenated,” the source explained. “Regardless of the DUI, entering rehab was always her plan at this time.”

Page Six previously reported that Spears, 44, was charged with driving under the influence on March 5.

Recently, the “Crossroads” star’s representative confirmed to Page Six that Spears chose to check into rehab for substance-related issues. A source noted it was indeed “her own decision” to seek treatment.

The artist, who has a court appearance set for May 4, sought treatment after her sons reportedly organised an intervention for their renowned mother.

She and her children were spotted enjoying a day at sea shortly before she decided to enter rehab.

Spears shares her sons with former husband Kevin Federline. The ex-dancer’s lawyer affirmed that Federline is “pleased” Spears is receiving the care she requires.
