Chase Infiniti recalls bizarre moment with Leonardo DiCaprio

Chase Infiniti has revelead a pre-shoot bonding exercise with Leonardo DiCaprio took an unexpected turn when she accidentally gave the actor a crooked beard.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on January 14, the 25-year-old actress revealed that director Paul Thomas Anderson asked her to shave DiCaprio’s facial hair as part of their chemistry-building process for One Battle After Another. The task quickly went sideways.

“I’d never used an electric shaver before,” Infiniti admitted. “I didn’t know what I was doing, and I ended up making it crooked.”

She recalled being visibly nervous while shaving the Oscar winner, apologizing throughout the process and worrying she might ruin his face. “I was shaking the entire time,” she said.

Kimmel joked about the high stakes, calling DiCaprio’s face “a national treasure,” while Infiniti confirmed the decision was entirely Anderson’s.

Despite the mishap, Infiniti said the experience helped ease her nerves ahead of filming. 

She previously told People that working closely with DiCaprio before shooting left her feeling calm and confident on set.

One Battle After Another recently earned multiple Golden Globe wins and stars DiCaprio as a former revolutionary confronting his past alongside Infiniti’s character, his estranged daughter.
