Lori Loughlin made a surprise return to When Calls the Heart during its Season 13 finale
Lori Loughlin made a surprise return to When Calls the Heart during its Season 13 finale, marking her first appearance on the series in seven years.
In Sunday night’s episode, Loughlin reprised her role as Abigail Stanton, a beloved character who was written out of the show in 2019.
Her return scene featured Abigail arriving back in Hope Valley following the engagement of Elizabeth, played by Erin Krakow, and Nathan, portrayed by Kevin McGarry.
Stepping out of a car, Abigail looks around and says, “It’s good to be home,” in a moment that quickly resonated with longtime fans.
Loughlin originally starred in the Hallmark series from its 2014 debut until her departure amid the high-profile 2019 college admissions scandal.
She later served a two-month prison sentence for her role in the scheme involving fraudulent college admissions.
Her return signals a broader comeback. Hallmark Media previously confirmed that Loughlin will appear in six episodes of the show’s upcoming Season 14, set to premiere in 2027.
Network executives described her character as a fan favorite, noting that the timing felt right to reintroduce her storyline.
In recent years, Loughlin has taken on a limited number of acting roles while gradually returning to public life.
Her reappearance in the series finale marks a significant moment in her professional resurgence and has generated strong reactions from the show’s loyal audience.
