Anna Faris has reflected on her most beloved roles, revealing which of her iconic characters she would happily revisit, including one she playfully calls an “indulgent brat.”

The 49-year-old actress, best known for her comedic work, is returning to the big screen as Cindy Campbell in Scary Movie 6.

But Faris told People that two other characters from her past hold a special place in her heart: Shelley from 2008’s The House Bunny and Samantha James from 2005’s Just Friends.

“I love Shelley. I do love Shelley. Shelley is near and dear to my heart,” Faris said. Shelley, the titular house bunny who becomes a mentor to a struggling sorority, is a role Faris previously described as “life-changing.”

She praised the character’s compassion and ability to lead with her heart, saying it even helped her personally in forming friendships.

In contrast, Samantha James in Just Friends was a character Faris enjoyed for entirely different reasons. “She’s just a delicious little villain, such an indulgent brat. It was delicious to play,” Faris shared.

The role showcased her comedic timing as a self-absorbed pop star and remains a favorite of hers, even two decades later.

Faris added that she would love the opportunity to revisit either character. “Maybe there could be an opportunity where I get to play either one of those characters again. I would just love that,” she said.

Beyond her film work, Faris has also embraced playful, real-world roles — most recently going undercover as a Candy Crush mascot during a Los Angeles Clippers game.

“I get to bring joy and playfulness to a huge crowd of people. I’m thrilled. I get to have this childlike fun and energetic experience,” she said.

Even after decades in Hollywood, Faris says she feels “really lucky” to have landed roles that continue to resonate with her personally and with audiences.
