Sabrina Carpenter prepares for a historic headlining set at Coachella
Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter has opened up about the profound influence of her older sister, Sarah Carpenter, on her artistic journey and upcoming career milestones.
In a candid cover story for Perfect magazine, published on Tuesday, the 26-year-old singer discussed the importance of maintaining creative control alongside her lifelong "best friend."
Carpenter explained that her sister acts as a vital creative partner across various facets of her career, including photography, merchandise, and tour production.
"She has been my creative partner with pretty much everything I do. We kind of share a brain," the singer remarked to interviewer Marc Jacobs. She further noted that their deep-rooted connection ensures her work remains uniquely personal.
The collaboration between the pair dates back to the "Manchild" singer's early career on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World.
Sarah Carpenter also provided backing vocals for Sabrina’s debut album, Eyes Wide Open, establishing a professional synergy that has endured for over a decade.
Beyond her studio work, the Grammy-winning artist is currently preparing for her most ambitious live performance to date.
Sabrina is set to headline the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on 10 and 17 April, appearing alongside fellow headliners Justin Bieber and Karol G.
Reflecting on the intense seven-month preparation period for the festival, she stated, "It’s the most ambitious show I’ve ever done."
Carpenter previously performed at the Indio-based festival in 2024. She first achieved major musical success with her 2022 album Emails I Can't Send
