Sydney Sweeney’s rumoured connection to the James Bond franchise is doing more than fueling fan chatter; it is reinforcing her reputation as one of Hollywood’s most bankable rising stars.

The speculation intensified after Paul Feig, director of The Housemaid, publicly backed the 28-year-old actress for the iconic role of 007.

“I’d rather Sydney be the next Bond,” Feig told The Sun. “There have been some cool Bond girls, but come on, let her be the super-spy, she’s great.”

Reputation management experts suggest that such a link, even whilst speculative, brings a notable level of prestige to the Euphoria star’s evolving brand.

Ryan McCormick, a managing partner at Goldman McCormick PR, argued that the Bond series might actually benefit more from Sweeney’s involvement than vice versa, given her sustained relevance.

However, Dave Quast of EDQ Strategies noted a "huge distinction" between the traditional "Bond Girl" trope and the role of Bond itself, suggesting the latter would be truly career-defining for the actress.

Beyond the silver screen, Sweeney has already established herself as a formidable entrepreneur. In January 2026, she launched her lingerie brand, SYRN, following a highly successful partnership with American Eagle that reportedly added $400 million in market value to the company.

Most recently, Sweeney was seen attending the Euphoria Season 3 premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday. While experts say actually landing the role is required to become a fully realised global brand, simply being part of the conversation reinforces her status as a "safe bet" for major studios and international investors alike.
