Maggie Baird has expressed her profound gratitude to Justin Bieber after he invited her daughter, Billie Eilish, onto the Coachella stage for a sentimental performance.
During his headlining set on Saturday, Bieber serenaded Eilish with his 2009 hit "One Less Lonely Girl." The moment served as a tribute to their first meeting at the same festival in 2019, when Eilish—a lifelong "Belieber"—met her idol for the first time.
In an emotional Instagram post, Baird shared footage of a tearful Eilish preparing for the appearance, describing the experience as "one of the most touching moments ever."
She reflected on the "deep connections" children form with artists and recalled a time when the family could only afford to watch concert films rather than attend live shows.
"Watching this crazy unimaginable dream come true over many years is so incredible," Baird wrote, specifically thanking both Justin and his wife, Hailey, for their kindness toward the entire family.
Bieber’s headline performance was a star-studded affair that featured a series of surprise guest appearances.
In addition to the moment with Eilish, the "Baby" singer brought out SZA for a rendition of "Snooze," performed "Sweet Spot" with Sexyy Red, and reunited with Big Sean for "As Long As You Love Me" and "No Pressure."
The set also leaned into nostalgia, featuring a segment where Bieber sang along to archival footage of himself as a child covering Justin Timberlake’s "Cry Me A River," marking a triumphant return to the stage following his recent musical hiatus.
