Influencer Anna Sitar and Josh Brubaker announce engagement after long-term romance

Anna Sitar and Josh Brubaker are engaged, marking a new milestone in their long-running relationship.

The couple, both 29, confirmed the news on Instagram on Monday, April 20, with a playful, multi-slide announcement that blended humor with romance.

Brubaker kicked things off with a caption reading “An announcement…,” alongside a black-and-white image styled like a breaking news update stating, “BREAKING: Anna and Bru are no longer dating.” 

The reveal quickly shifted tone in the next slide, which showed the couple’s oceanside proposal with the message: “Because they’re engaged!”

Sitar also shared her own post featuring sunlit beach photos from the proposal, writing: “I’m so happy you’re here (forever).”

The engagement comes after nearly five years together. The pair first met through mutual friends in 2021 and began dating later that year, before going public with their relationship in December 2021.

Since then, Sitar — a popular TikTok creator — and Brubaker, known for hosting The Bru Show on Audacy radio, have frequently supported each other’s careers both online and at public events. They made their red carpet debut together at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards.

Their relationship has also been marked by playful social media moments, including custom merchandise Sitar once created to celebrate Brubaker’s professional milestones. In a past interview, she described herself as his “biggest fan,” noting she even ordered themed shirts in bulk for him and his friends.

Brubaker has built his own digital following through behind-the-scenes radio content and interactive TikTok segments, while Sitar rose to prominence through lifestyle videos after moving from Michigan to Los Angeles to pursue a master’s degree in film and television production.

Over time, the couple has also addressed public speculation about their relationship, often responding with humor and emphasizing the importance of privacy amid online attention.
