Lola Sheen has shared an emotional tribute to Patrick Muldoon following his sudden death, describing the late star as a “huge part” of her family and someone whose absence will be deeply felt.

Muldoon died on April 19 at the age of 57 after a reported heart attack, leaving behind a legacy that extended beyond his acting career into the personal lives of those closest to him.

In a heartfelt Instagram message, Sheen, 20, reflected on the lasting impact Muldoon had on her childhood and family life, shaped largely through his long-standing bond with her mother, Denise Richards.

“I thought you were the one that was supposed to be in our lives forever,” Sheen wrote. “When I think of my childhood I think of you… it’s going to be so weird to go on without you in our lives.”

She described Muldoon as “such a huge part of our family,” adding that “life will never feel the same” following his passing. Remembering his personality, she credited him with bringing joy to those around him, writing, “You were the definition of what it means to have fun.”

The tribute also highlighted the enduring friendship between Muldoon and Richards, who dated on and off for several years in the 1990s but remained close ever since. Sheen recalled how the actor’s presence brought laughter into their home, particularly noting how he would often sing songs to her and keep the mood light.

“I will really miss hearing my mom laugh on the phone with you,” she wrote, adding that his voice “always brightened my day.”

Sheen also reflected on the unique bond between her mother and Muldoon, calling their relationship “so special” and expressing gratitude for having witnessed a friendship she described as “pure.”

“When I think of my mom I think of you. You guys came as a package,” she added, revealing she had often hoped the pair would reunite romantically.

Muldoon and Richards first met in an acting class as young adults before going on to star together in the 1997 film Starship Troopers. Over the years, they maintained a close friendship, with Muldoon also appearing on Richards’ reality series and collaborating with her on creative projects.

Sheen concluded her tribute with a final message of love, writing, “You really were a rockstar… and forever will be.”
