Jack Whitehall's opens up about wedding mishap: Trousers split mid-ceremony
Jack Whitehall's wedding to Roxy Horner was a charming countryside affair
Over the weekend, Jack Whitehall's wedding to Roxy Horner was a charming countryside affair, though the comedian himself experienced a bit of a wardrobe hiccup during the event.
The father of one, 37, revealed that he ended up with his "backside exposed" at the aisle's end.
While bending down to pick up their two-year-old during the ceremony, Jack managed to tear his fancy Tom Ford suit.
"I kneeled to grab Elsie and my pants ripped, completely exposing my backside," he mentioned to Vogue.
Fortunately, the comedian had another suit ready, switching to one from the menswear label Dunhill.
Meanwhile, his bride Roxy also wore two dresses during the day, hers being purely a fashion decision.
Roxy wore two beautiful wedding gowns from the designer boutique Galia Lahav, changing between the ceremony and the reception.
She complemented her look with a long veil and styled her blonde locks into an updo, leaving two strands to frame her face.
Roxy and Jack’s wedding happened within the grounds of the stately £12 million property Euridge Manor, close to Chippenham, Wilts.
The Georgian-style mansion is owned by Kate Middleton’s former employer, retail mogul John Robinson.
Jack and Roxy shared insights about their special day with Vogue, revealing how Elsie was among the model’s trio of flower girls.
They had eight bridesmaids, and Jack's brother, Barnaby, played the role of Best Man.
After Jack foresaw a “harsh” best man speech from his sibling in a conversation with The Sun earlier this year, due to his own cheeky speech at Barnaby’s wedding, Barnaby didn’t disappoint.
“He really roasted me, just like I did at his wedding,” Jack admitted in his post-nuptial interview.
Star-studded guests included TV friends and James Corden Jamie Redknapp, who have worked with Jack on Sky’s A League of Their Own.
Attendees were requested to switch off their phones throughout the ceremony and abstain from social media.
The newlyweds are now heading to Venice for a fabulous Italian honeymoon getaway.
