Zayn Malik cancels Jimmy Fallon appearance following hospitalization

Zayn Malik has reportedly pulled out of a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as he continues recovering from a recent health scare.

The 33-year-old singer was due to appear on the show on April 21, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, where he was expected to promote his upcoming fifth studio album Konnakol. 

However, according to reports citing a source, Malik was unable to attend following medical advice.

“He isn’t able to due to doctor’s recommendations,” the insider said, adding that the artist is still dealing with ongoing health issues.

The reported cancellation comes shortly after Malik was hospitalized last week, prompting concerns among fans. 

While the exact nature of his condition has not been publicly disclosed, the singer is said to be seeking specialized medical care, including consultation with a leading cardiologist.

Malik addressed his followers directly on social media following his hospital stay, expressing gratitude for their support while acknowledging his continued recovery.

“To my fans – thank you to all of you for your love and support now and always – been a long week and am still unexpectedly recovering,” he wrote. 

“Heartbroken that I can’t see you all this week… and am so thankful for your understanding.”

He also extended thanks to the medical professionals who cared for him, including nurses and cardiologists, calling them “legends.”

The withdrawn appearance adds to a series of disruptions in Malik’s promotional schedule. He had also been expected to attend an event in New York City ahead of his album release.

Despite the setback, the singer is still scheduled to kick off a tour in May, beginning at Manchester’s AO Arena and continuing through multiple cities before concluding in Miami later this year.

Malik, who shares daughter Khai with model Gigi Hadid, has remained active on social media in recent weeks, promoting both his upcoming album and tour.

The artist’s last tour, Stairway to the Sky, ran from late 2024 to early 2025 and was briefly paused following the death of his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne. Malik later returned to the stage, paying tribute during his performances.
