Barbie Ferreira explains why she steers clear of dating actors

Barbie Ferreira has opened up about her approach to relationships, revealing she has never dated an actor and prefers to keep her dating life outside the entertainment industry.

Speaking in a new interview with Bustle, the 29-year-old Euphoria alum said she gravitates toward partners with grounded, everyday lives rather than those in Hollywood.

“I have never dated an actor. I only know how to date normal-ish people,” Ferreira said, adding that she values authenticity and personality over fame. “To impress me, you need a real personality and real life.”

Ferreira, who is currently in a relationship with someone outside the entertainment world, also reflected on her personal boundaries when it comes to public relationships. 

She said she avoids what she calls “PR relationships,” emphasizing that she prefers genuine connections over publicity-driven romance.

“I grew up in a different place than a lot of people in Hollywood,” she explained, describing her upbringing as one that shaped her outlook on fame and relationships.

The actress added that she prefers a quieter lifestyle away from the spotlight when she is not working. 

“My response to stress is to stay home. I will hermit, and that’s OK,” she said, noting that she enjoys a low-key, private routine.

Despite her preference for privacy, Ferreira shared a glimpse of her lighter side, revealing a fondness for attending Renaissance fairs, where she fully embraces the experience. 

“I do a little skirt and a corset and sit at the joust,” she said, calling it a wholesome escape from the pressures of Hollywood life.
