Jennifer Lopez uses fictional job profiles to market ‘Office Romance’
The campaign includes jobs inspired by actress's past romantic comedy characters
Jennifer Lopez is rolling out an unconventional marketing campaign for her upcoming Netflix romantic comedy Office Romance, using fictional career updates on LinkedIn as part of the film’s promotion.
The 56-year-old entertainer has reportedly updated her LinkedIn profile with a series of made-up job roles inspired by her past film characters.
Among the fictional positions listed is a custodian with aspirations of management, a nod to her breakout rom-com Maid in Manhattan.
Other entries include a lovelorn wedding planner referencing The Wedding Planner, a bride-to-be tied to Shotgun Wedding, and her latest role as CEO of Air Cruz in Office Romance.
As part of the promotional campaign, Lopez has also invited fans to apply via LinkedIn to become a “Pink Guard” for a day, offering winners a chance to attend the film’s New York premiere.
The strategy reflects a growing trend in Hollywood where studios and stars increasingly turn to professional networking platforms and interactive digital campaigns to market films.
Similar approaches have been used in past promotional efforts, including campaigns tied to Liam Neeson’s Taken 3.
Industry peers have also leaned into creative marketing tactics in recent years, with figures like Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Alba using social media and brand-driven content to amplify upcoming projects.
Office Romance is expected to mark another high-profile streaming release for Lopez, continuing her presence across both film and music while experimenting with new ways to connect audiences to her work.
