A violent business dispute resulted in a double fatality on Tuesday at a shopping centre in Carrollton, Texas. Officers responded to reports of gunfire just before 10:00 a.m. at the K Towne Plaza on Highway 121.

Upon arrival, police discovered multiple victims with gunshot wounds. One male was pronounced dead at the scene, while a female and two other males were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they currently remain in stable condition.

The investigation took a further grim turn an hour later when police discovered a second deceased male at a nearby apartment.

Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo confirmed that both crime scenes were linked to the same suspect, identified as 69-year-old Seung Han Ho.

Authorities successfully located Ho a few miles away at a supermarket using undercover surveillance and police technology. Following a brief foot pursuit, he was taken into custody without further incident.

According to a police press release, Ho has since confessed to shooting all five individuals, allegedly stating he "was angry at the victims due to financial disagreements related to their business dealings."

Chief Arredondo clarified that the incident was "not a random act of gunfire" and emphasised that the suspect shared a "known business relationship" with the victims.

The Texas Department of Public Safety and the FBI are currently assisting local authorities with the ongoing investigation.

Members of the local Korean American community expressed shock over the violence occurring in the heart of the city's Koreatown.

While formal charges against Ho are yet to be revealed, the investigation continues into the exact nature of the business conflict.
