Prince William reflects on Taylor Swift concert as he hints at wedding invitation

Prince William has hinted that he may be on the guest list for the upcoming wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, playfully suggesting he is “hoping” an invitation will arrive.
The Prince of Wales, 43, made the remark during a May 22 appearance on the U.K. radio show Heart Breakfast, where hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden referenced the high-profile wedding expected to take place this summer.
When asked directly whether he had received an invitation, William responded with a smile, saying, “No comment. I’m hoping and I’m sure there might be an invitation around but we’ll see.”
The lighthearted exchange quickly sparked attention, given the royal’s previously documented connection to Swift and her family-friendly appeal within his household.
William also used the interview to highlight his children’s admiration for the pop superstar, revealing that Princess Charlotte, 11, is especially enthusiastic about Swift’s music. He added that Prince Louis, 8, also enjoys her songs.
“Charlotte, particularly, is obsessed by Taylor Swift,” William said, noting that the family attended Swift’s Eras Tour in 2024.
The royal family’s attendance at the tour included Prince William and his children watching Swift perform at London’s Wembley Stadium on William’s birthday in June 2024.
The Prince described the experience as “amazing,” recalling the electric atmosphere inside the venue.
“We were watching from up there… but the atmosphere was so incredible, you could actually feel the floors shaking,” he said.
Following the concert, William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte met Swift backstage along with Kelce, marking a widely shared moment that underscored the growing cultural crossover between the royal family and the pop star’s global fan base.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025 via a joint social media post, though the couple has kept details of their wedding plans largely private.
Reports suggest the ceremony is expected to be an intimate affair rather than a large public spectacle.
During the radio appearance, William also showed his continued enthusiasm for Swift’s music, jokingly requesting that her song “Opalite” be played for listeners.
