Samara Weaving confirms birth of baby girl with husband Jimmy Warden
The actress said her priority during birth was listening to medical guidance
Samara Weaving has confirmed that she and her husband, filmmaker Jimmy Warden, have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, marking a new chapter in the couple’s life.
The Ready or Not 2: Here I Come actress, 34, had previously been reported to have given birth last month, and has now spoken publicly about early motherhood and how she is adjusting to life with her newborn at home.
Speaking to People, Weaving described a calm and practical approach to her delivery, saying her focus was on safety rather than meeting any expectations of a “perfect” birth experience.
She explained that she trusted her doctors and nurses throughout the process and followed medical advice as needed.
“I really just listened to my doctors and nurses,” she said, adding that while she relied on her instincts, she ultimately deferred to professional guidance during labour.
Now at home, Weaving says the family is slowly settling into a new routine, including their pets, who are also adapting to the baby’s arrival. She noted with humour that the household animals “don’t really know what’s going on” but appear to be adjusting well.
She also shared her hope that everyone in the home, including the pets, will eventually form a close bond with her daughter.
Beyond the early challenges of parenting, Weaving reflected on the broader experience of motherhood and the importance of support systems.
She praised the women in her life for offering reassurance during pregnancy, saying she benefited from advice that encouraged her to make choices that felt right for her.
The actress previously revealed she leaned on fellow actors who are mothers during her pregnancy, including industry friends, who encouraged her to trust her own instincts amid conflicting opinions.
Weaving and Warden, who married in 2019, announced in December 2025 that they were expecting their first child.
