Wedding DJ Fat Tony shares new details about Brooklyn Beckham’s family feud

Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding DJ Fat Tony has spoken out about the ongoing Beckham family feud, asking people not to judge the situation and reminding them of the pain involved for everyone affected.

The DJ, who performed at Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s 2022 wedding, said outsiders should remember the emotional impact of the public dispute between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

“Before judging, people should remember that two parents have lost their first-born son and a son has lost his parents,” Fat Tony told The Times. 

“All families have dramas, but they just happen to be the Beckhams.”

The comments come after Brooklyn, 27, publicly accused his parents earlier this year of contributing to the breakdown of their relationship and said he does not intend to reconcile with them.

Fat Tony previously addressed one of Brooklyn’s claims regarding Victoria’s behaviour at the wedding, where Brooklyn alleged that his mother interrupted his planned first dance with Nicola and made him feel uncomfortable.

Speaking on the U.K. programme This Morning, Fat Tony said there was no inappropriate dancing as described by Brooklyn, explaining that the situation was more about the timing of the moment.

“There was no slut dropping, there was no PVC catsuit, there was no Spice Girls actions,” he said. “The word inappropriate — why I said it was inappropriate as well because it was the timing.”

The DJ explained that singer Marc Anthony had invited Brooklyn onto the stage during his performance and later asked Victoria to join him, creating an unexpected moment that left tensions high.

“What happened was — basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto the stage,” Fat Tony recalled.

“Everyone is expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance and then Marc asks the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage, then he said: ‘Victoria come to the stage.’”

According to Fat Tony, Brooklyn was upset because he believed the moment would be his first dance with his wife, while Nicola became emotional and left the room.

“At that point, Brooklyn is devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out,” he said.

Fat Tony added that Marc Anthony’s request for Brooklyn to dance with his mother was part of a Latin performance tradition but admitted the moment became uncomfortable for those present.

“Marc says: ‘Put your hands on your mother’s hips!’ It was a Latin thing and that whole situation was awkward for everyone in the room,” he said.

The DJ also revealed that the incident became one of the biggest talking points among guests the following day during the wedding brunch.

“I DJed the brunch, which was the most awkward part of it all because that’s when everything was discussed from the night before,” he said.

Brooklyn previously claimed in an Instagram statement that his mother “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola, saying the couple had planned the moment weeks in advance.

He wrote that they wanted to renew their vows to create happier memories from their wedding day rather than revisit feelings of “anxiety and embarrassment.”

Fat Tony’s latest comments come as the Beckham family continues to face public scrutiny over their ongoing rift, with the DJ urging people to remember that the situation involves personal relationships and deep emotions behind the headlines.
