Ben Napier shares about hard times during 'Home Town' new season filming

Ben Napier opened up about facing hard times while filming the new season of Home Town, started from January 7, 2024.

In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Ben shared that refraining from assisting others with heavy lifting due to his recent rotator cuff surgery was the toughest part during his injury’s time period.

During the conversation, when theA Christmas Open House actor's wife and his Home Town co-star, Erin Napier referred to him and said, “You’re the biggest guy in the room,” Ben responded, “I need to jump in and help, and it was hard to not do that.”

Admitting that she worries about Ben, Erin said, “It still worries me when he’s like, No, I can do this, he’s still not supposed to lift really heavy things with his left arm. I get nervous.”

While revealing about the 40-year-old star had shoulder problem amid the filming for Home Town, Erin revealed, “There’s only one episode where his shoulder is a part of the story.”

“At the beginning, when he had the surgery, that was the episode we were working on and so after that it has to just not exist, cause it gets a little redundant to have shoulder problems in every episode for a whole season,” she added.

During the interview, the couple also revealed that they faced a mishap during a speaking engagement at a Southern Baptist college a few days after Ben’s surgery.

Ben, who underwent the shoulder operation in March, recalled, “I took my [pain] medicine right before I went in and it hit while I was onstage.”

“My confidence soared, and I could not keep a train of thought, the whole time I knew what was going on,” he added.
