Star Wars prequel stars reunite as Jake Lloyd makes rare public appearance
Lloyd shared kindness of fans has proven 'immediately therapeutic' as he manages his mental health
In a heartening reunion for the Star Wars community, former child stars Jake Lloyd and Daniel Logan recently spent time together, marking a rare public appearance for Lloyd.
On Sunday, Logan—who portrayed Boba Fett—shared a candid snap on Instagram of himself and Lloyd enjoying a meal.
“Just spent the day with my brother,” Logan captioned the post, which drew a supportive heart emoji from fellow prequel alumnus Ahmed Best.
Now 36, Lloyd has been open about his challenging journey with schizophrenia. The update follows a 2025 interview where he admitted reaching “rock bottom” was necessary to “honestly take part in treatment, honestly take your meds, and honestly live with your diagnosis.”
After an 18-month stay at an inpatient facility, Lloyd reported feeling “pretty good,” moving into a rehabilitation programme with more personal freedom.
His mother, Lisa Lloyd, previously highlighted his struggle with anosognosia—a condition where the brain cannot recognise its own illness.
Following a 2023 "psychotic break," she notes her son is now “actually getting so much better than he was,” describing his progress as a "big relief" for their family.
Though he has stepped away from the limelight, Lloyd remains moved by the kindness of the public.
He told author Clayton Sandell that meeting fans is “immediately therapeutic,” adding, “I really do appreciate the time that's been taken on us. I'm very appreciative.”
This recent outing offers a hopeful glimpse of a young man working hard to reclaim his peace.
