Rosie O’Donnell’s son Blake celebrates birth of baby boy, her fifth grandchild

Rosie O'Donnell is now a proud grandmother to five!

On Saturday (March 28), the 64-year-old comedian shared the news on Instagram about the birth of her son Blake’s new baby boy.

Sharing a photo of her new grandson, she announced that he has been named Anthony Joel O’Donnell.

“Presenting Anthony Joel O’Donnell! I'm filled with so much joy,” Rosie captioned the black-and-white image of her grandson’s little foot at the hospital.

“Sending love and congrats to mama Teresa and Blake Christopher — Love you both so much,” she wrote about her son, Blake, 26, and his wife, Teresa.

Earlier in the week, Rosie uploaded a photo on Instagram featuring Blake embracing a very pregnant Teresa as they awaited their firstborn. “The baby boy is coming soon !!! any day now !!! #excited #thrilled,” she commented.

The couple revealed they were expecting their first child in an Instagram post a year following their marriage.

In the post dated September 22, Blake and Teresa shared an image of a baby onesie that read "Baby O'Donnell March 2026," placed alongside a sonogram picture in a beautiful sunflower field.

“Our world is about to get a lot brighter," the couple wrote. "Baby OD due in March 2026."

Rosie replied in the comments, "I couldn’t be happier.” Blake’s mother Kelli Carpenter (Rosie’s ex-wife) chimed in with, "This truly warms my heart! My love goes out to you both and your child will be dearly cherished! (And spoiled!).”

Rosie is a mother to five children, four of whom she shares with Carpenter: sons Parker, 30, and Blake, as well as daughters Chelsea, 28, and Vivienne, 23.

Her youngest, Clay, 13, was with her late former spouse, Michelle Rounds.

Rosie became a grandmother for the fourth time in 2023, when her daughter Chelsea had her first son, Atlas. Chelsea is also mother to daughters Skylar Rose, 7, Riley, 5, and Avery Lynn, 4.
