Producers Guild of America has unveiled key dates for its upcoming awards ceremonies
The Producers Guild of America (PGA) has unveiled key dates for its upcoming awards ceremonies, further solidifying the timeline for the 2027 and 2028 Hollywood awards seasons.
The guild announced that the 2027 Producers Guild Awards will take place on February 27, followed by the 2028 ceremony on February 19.
The announcement comes as major industry bodies begin rolling out their schedules, offering a clearer picture of the road to the Oscars.
Earlier in the day, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences confirmed that the 99th and 100th Academy Awards will be held on March 14, 2027, and March 5, 2028, respectively.
Meanwhile, SAG-AFTRA revealed that its Screen Actors Guild Awards will take place on February 28, 2027, and February 20, 2028.
Widely regarded as a key bellwether for Oscar success, the Producers Guild Awards often closely align with the eventual Best Picture winner.
Most recently, One Battle After Another took top honors at the PGA Awards before going on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.
The annual ceremony recognizes outstanding achievements in producing across film, television, documentaries, animation and emerging media.
Recent honorees include Amy Pascal, who received the David O. Selznick Achievement Award; Jason Blum, honored with the Milestone Award; and Mara Brock Akil, who earned the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television.
Alongside the ceremony dates, the PGA also released its full timeline for the 38th annual awards cycle, including submission deadlines, nomination voting periods and final ballot windows spanning from August 2026 through February 2027.
With major guilds and the Academy aligning their schedules, the latest announcements signal the official kickoff of the next awards race — one that will culminate in Hollywood’s biggest night in early 2027 and 2028.
