Ryan Seacrest reveals unusual dating red flags on morning radio show
Ryan Seacrest lists the everyday habits that determine his romantic compatibility
Prolific television presenter and radio host Ryan Seacrest has candidly shared his criteria for a potential partner, highlighting "simple things" like basic social etiquette as a primary requirement.
Speaking on a recent episode of his "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" programme, the 51-year-old Wheel of Fortune star explained that he often uses physical activity as a character assessment.
He noted that failing to acknowledge passers-by during a walk or cycle is a significant deterrent, stating, "If someone says ‘good morning’ to you on the path and you don’t respond, that is a red flag."
Seacrest admitted he often takes dates for exercise to observe their manners, calling it a "test" of their fundamental politeness to strangers.
The broadcaster also detailed specific preferences regarding morning routines and lifestyle habits. He identified a preference for black coffee as a "green flag," expressing a desire to share a quiet caffeine moment without complicated additives.
Furthermore, Seacrest voiced his disdain for intrusive morning disruptions and lengthy preparation times. He stipulated that a partner "cannot have one of those things that just ruins your day from the beginning," referring to harsh alarm clocks, and expressed a preference for gentle "chimes."
Additionally, he set a surprisingly precise time limit for getting ready, asserting that a "green flag" is someone who can finish in "less than 27 minutes."
Seacrest, who previously dated model Aubrey Paige for three years until April 2024, remains one of the most recognisable faces in American media. He first rose to national prominence as the host of the singing competition American Idol in 2002.
