Jon Lovett and Ari Schwartz are officially married. The Crooked Media co-founder and Pod Save America host tied the knot with Schwartz on Saturday, May 23, during a wedding ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.

According to reports, the couple celebrated their wedding weekend with several lively events, including a roast and a variety show held during the rehearsal dinner.

Social media posts shared by guests also showed the newlyweds dancing at the reception and taking part in the traditional chair-lifting celebration.

Lovett and Schwartz first made their relationship public in September 2024, after sharing photos of themselves together from the Minnesota State Fair on Instagram.

“State fair (not pictured: lactaid),” Schwartz joked in the caption alongside a carousel of photos featuring the couple enjoying the outing.

The pair later announced their engagement in March 2025 with a joint Instagram post featuring Lovett’s dog, Pundit.

“Exciting news: I got a dog. This dog. Because we got engaged,” Schwartz wrote at the time.

Lovett, a former speechwriter and staffer for Barack Obama, co-founded Crooked Media in 2017 alongside fellow Obama administration alumni Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor.

Schwartz joined Crooked Media in 2021 as a programming and production coordinator and was later promoted to chief of staff in 2023.

Before that, Schwartz worked on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s congressional campaign.

Several high-profile figures congratulated the couple following their engagement announcement earlier this year, including Monica Lewinsky, Josh Gad and Adam Rippon.

Lovett was previously engaged to journalist Ronan Farrow. The former couple separated in 2023 after several years together.
