Marketa Vondrousova became first unseeded Wimbledon winner on July 15, 2023

Marketa Vondrousova, the Czech tennis player who recently made history as the first unseeded woman to win Wimbledon, has been garnering attention not only for her sporting achievements but also for her personal life.
Vondrousova married her husband Stepan Simek in July 2022, and their relationship has been a source of support and inspiration for the tennis star.
The couple's love story began in the Czech Republic, where Simek was born and currently resides with Vondrousova and their cat, Frankie.
While Simek also played tennis in his youth, he didn't pursue it professionally like his wife.
However, tennis still holds a special place in their relationship, as seen in their wedding photos where they posed with rackets and tennis balls.

Simek's unwavering support for Vondrousova was evident during her journey at Wimbledon.
When the match was paused due to rain during the semi-finals, Vondrousova called her husband for motivation, and his words of encouragement propelled her to victory.
She told, "I actually didn’t see my coach, I was alone in the waiting room. I chatted a bit with my husband. We talked on the phone. He just said, ‘Try to fight, you are playing good, you are playing a great match.’ That was it. I think the break helped actually. It was good."
After Vondrousova's Wimbledon victory husband Simek, took to Instagram to share celebratory moments.
According to reports, despite initially watching the tournament from home, Simek made the last-minute decision to fly to London to support his wife in the finals.
