Andrew Tate, the internet influencer, and his brother Tristan Tate have won an appeal and were released from house arrest in human trafficking and rape case.

The Bucharest Court ordered their release on Friday. The Tate brothers were charged with human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women.

Earlier this week, the two had appealed the decision not to remain under house arrest during their trial.

The former kickboxer will not be able to leave Romania regardless of the court's judgment.

In a written judgment, the court stated that it "replaces the house arrest measure with that of judicial control for a period of 60 days from August 4 until October 2."

The Tate brothers and two Romanian women were indicted in Romania in June on charges of engaging in human trafficking across Romania, Britain, and the United States, of rape, and of running an organized criminal group in 2021.

In his first statement after his release, he revealed, "After 10 months. 3 in jail, 7 at home. After 15 million euro of asset seizures. After an incitement based on nothing. The file was passed to a Judge who has ruled it weak and circumstantial."

The 36-year-old shared about his whereabouts remained in Romania and tweeted on X formerly known as Twitter, "I have been released from house arrest but must remain within Romania. Now. To the Mosque. Alhamdulillah."

Andrew Tate added that the indictment was “based on nothing”   and   he was "innocent."
