The highly anticipated Money Heist spin-off series Berlin is all set to debut on screens as Netflix announced the release date with an exciting first trailer.

The spin-off series will be bringing back the fan-favourite criminal Berlin (played by Pedro Alonso) who is preparing for a big heist in Paris.

The trailer shows the carefree thief, who wants it all, saying “all the things that make life worth living,” appears to be jeopardizing his very own heist by being involved in romance.

Netflix, earlier this year, revealed that the Money Heist (Spanish title La Casa de Papel) prequel series will release in December, has just confirmed December 29, 2023, as the official date for the Berlin prequel series.

Berlin series is created by Money Heist's Álex Pina. The trailer was shared with the tagline, “Where others see risk, he sees excitement and adrenaline.”

The show’s logline reads, "Berlin says there are only two things that can turn a bad day into a great one: love and a million-dollar payday."

"This is what keeps him razor focused on his lofty goals. So he's preparing one of his most extreme heists yet - disappearing $44 million worth of jewels."

Berlin will start streaming on Netflix on December 29, 2023. Following the trailer release, Money Heist fans expressed excitement and flooded the comments section.

Money Heist spin-off series stars Alonso as the lead, the cast also includes Tristán Ulloa, Begoña Vargas, Michelle Jenner, Julio Peña Fernández and Joel Sánchez.

Berlin character was introduced in Money Heist season one. He was revealed to be the Professor's (Álvaro Morte) older brother. The terminally ill Berlin chose to sacrifice himself at the end of first season.
