Samina Ahmed has opened up about seeing husband Manzar Sehbai for the first time in movie Bol.

The adorable veteran couple recently graced Vasay Chaudhry's Gup Shab show.

During the show, the renowned actress was questioned when was the first time she saw her partner.

Samina said, “I didn't know him then, and I was quite taken aback, thinking, 'Who is this?' You know how it is, it's been a while since I've worked in television and film, so I do recognise most people. I was surprised. I thought, 'Who is this person? Where did Shoaib Mansoor find this person? What world is he from?'”


She told the host about accepting Manzar’s proposal, “Nothing can remain in a vacuum or stay static. Life has to go on, things have to change. I've seen that change, quite a bit of it. But when you ask me about the impact on character selection, I don't think so. I truly appreciate our actors. They work hard and with dedication.”

Manzar Sehbai on speaking Urdu:

The veteran actor also discussed his “mother tongue” during the show and revealed that he’s “Punjabi.”

Manzar shared, “This Urdu language that I use, it is not mine, Neither is German my language. My mother tongue is Punjabi. We're Kashmiri. Usually, people use a language. Then, there's developing a relationship with a language.”

He continued, “It's very necessary. If you wish to create magic and beauty in the usage of a language, then you must develop that relationship.”

Samina Ahmed and Manzar Sehbai got married in Lahore on April 4, 2020.
