Sanam Saeed and Armeena Khan have raised their voice to seek justice against mass deportation of Afghan refugees in Pakistan.

Pakistan has ordered to deport 1.7 million Afghan refugees back to Afghanistan.

Armeena Khan penned on X, “It would be criminal of me not to talk about 1.7 million Afghans who are being displaced from Pakistan, their homes being bulldozed. This is absolutely vile! How can we treat them this way? I cannot talk about Gaza without talking about the plight of the Afghans. This is so sad!”

In another tweet she added, “You either stand against injustice, genocide and displacement or you don’t! If you are selective then you are no better than the oppressors. Thank you.”

Sanam Saeed is also among the renowned celebrities who is speaking against mass deportation.

“Deporting refugees who seek shelter here will not make our fundamental issues go away. It looks like we are deflecting blame from challenges that the govt or the country overall is facing. At a time like this in the world right now, we need to show more mercy. @GovtofPakistan,” Sanam wrote.

After their posts, many netizens started getting vocal o=about the ongoing issue.

A user wrote on X, “Not only does the state receive funds, Afghan refugees also contribute a great deal to the economy through their labour & businesses. It is a myth that refugees take away our resources. Deporting them will only hurt the economy even more!.”
