About the lawsuit:

The infamous lawsuit was filed by Casandra Ventura, also known as Cassie, on Thursday in a court of Manhattan, in which she claimed that she had been trapped for around a decade by, her ex-boyfriend, “in a cycle of abuse and violence.”

The Love a Loser singer alleged that Diddy had subjected her to 10 years of physical and sexual abuse ever since she met the rapper back in 2005.

"After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story,” she said in a statement on Thursday.

Denial of allegations by 'Diddy':

Sean Combs who also goes by the stage name Diddy accused the singer of extorting him for money while denying all the allegations made against him.

His lawyer, Ben Brafman, issued a statement to Business Insider saying, "Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.”

Pointing out the extortion Cassie was blamed for, the lawyer continued, “For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura's persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.”
