Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, one of the upcoming films of 2024 has launched its first trailer. The film stars Anya Taylor-Joy as the protagonist, Furiosa and Chris Hemsworth as the villain of the film.

As reported by PEOPLE, the film is a "standalone action adventure that will reveal the origins of" the character, Furiosa.

According to a synopsis of the film, “Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home."

A young girl who is taken away from her family and “will devote the rest of her life to finding her way home. This is her odyssey,” the newly released trailer on YouTube quotes.

Fans were quick to flocked the comments section with praise and excitement for the film. A fan said, “I can't wait for this!!!”

Another commented, “This is the single most awesome trailer ever.”

Chris Hemsworth on 'Furiosa':

Shortly after the trailer was released on YouTube, Chris Hemsworth took to his official Instagram to post the trailer and wrote a caption saying, “First trailer for #Furiosa! Prequel to Fury Road! Another addition to the epic Mad Max Saga! Enjoy!! Only in Theaters 2024.”

Furiosa marks Hemsworth’s first appearance in a motion picture after Extraction 2 and fans cannot wait to see him in the upcoming film.

Anya Taylor-Joy’s thoughts on ‘Furiosa’:

Taylor-Joy revealed to IndieWire about the making of the film saying, “I’m incredibly, incredibly proud of it, and so proud of all of the people I got to work with, and just the amount of love and effort and work that went into it. I’m excited to see it."

Furiosa is her upcoming project after her last film, Amsterdam and her voice over as Princess Peach in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
