Taylor Swift's dad Scott faces accusations of assault in Sydney

Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift is accused of punching a photographer during an incident on the Sydney waterfront.
According to several reports, the incident occurred following the conclusion of Taylor’s Australian tour.
Photographer Ben McDonald claimed that Scott Swift punched him in the jaw, resulting in minor injuries.
McDonald promptly reported the incident to the authorities, leading to an investigation by the New South Wales Police Force.
“It was just a punch in the chops. It’s a little tender, but I don’t have any bruising and it didn’t require medical assistance,” he told.
He added, “In 23 years, I haven’t been assaulted and punched in the chops, particularly by the talent’s dad.”
Video footage obtained by Australia's 9News showed Scott Swift and Taylor disembarking from a yacht, with Scott appearing to gesture toward paparazzi. However, the alleged punch itself was not captured on video.
The outlet shared, “Taylor Swift's father, Scott Swift, has been accused of assault. A photographer alleges Scott Swift assaulted him at the Neutral Bay Wharf at about 2.30am, after the singer and her entourage disembarked from a luxury yacht. #9News”
