'Friends' star Maggie Wheeler opens up about her feelings for Matthew Perry
'Friends' actors Maggie Wheeler and Matthew Perry seemed to be really close

Friends star Maggie Wheeler can’t seem to forget costar Mathew Perry.
She was Chandler’s on and off love interest with an onscreen name of Janice. Known for her unique laugh and nasally voice, the 63-year-old shared her emotions recently and admitted how she felt after the death of Perry.
On Monday’s episode of the Still Here Hollywood with Steve Kmetko, she shared, "People all over the world who loved him as Chandler, who benefited from the joy that he spread by being a brilliant actor and by being so incredibly funny," Wheeler said. "So the ripple, the wave was felt by so many."
"For me, I felt just heartbroken and sad that, you know, that he couldn't make it out of this incredibly dark tunnel that he was in for so long. And if you read Matthew's book or if you've read Matthew's book, you know the level of his addiction was so profound," she continued.
She also lost her brother to addiction and shared an experience where two hawks flew over her just as she said, “Look out for him.”
For most part of his life, Perry was addicted to drugs and alcohol. He passed away from the acute effects of ketamine use. Five people were accused of helping him acquire lethal doses of the drug.
For the unversed, Mathew Perry played the role of Chandler in Friends.
