Pedro Pascal will soon appear in Marvel’s Fantastic Four reboot; however, this will not be his first comic book screen appearance.

Previously, the 50-year-old actor played the antagonist named Maxwell Lord in 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984, a DC Comic story.

Now, the former Game of Thrones alum has opened up about his regretful experience on the production, which boiled down to his own physical appearance.

While participating in LADbible’s Agree to Disagree series with his Fantastic Four co-star Vanessa Kirby, the Materialists star was asked to pick between moustaches or beards.

“I grow such s*** facial hair,” he admitted, while also stating, “Strongly disagree with a clean shaven me,” he admitted.

Recalling his look in the Wonder Woman film, he continued, “I was so appalled by the way I look in ‘Wonder Woman 1984’. I loved the movie, but I was so appalled by the way that I looked that I’ve never gone back.”

Despite his admission, Pedro did acknowledge that he would have shaved again if “it were completely necessary” for his Marvel role, and if the makers had “insisted” on it.

However, he ultimately did not have to do so, as he revealed that the movie’s styling was “a very collaborative creation”.

Pedro Pascal stars in The Fantastic Four: First Steps alongside Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and others.

The movie is set to be released in cinemas on Friday, July 25.
